GOOD BATTLING TIPS ON NARUTO ULTIMATE NINJA STORM 3

- First you need to figure out what you are best at - taijutsu, ninjutsu or ranged weapon techniques. Ninjutsu as your basis is hardest to master. Taijutsu is straight-forward - I'll explain that further down, but for now let's focus on Ninjutsu / Ranged attacks. Firstly, you will have to get good at getting away from the opponent to charge up chakra.

When fighting a taijutsu/close combo type of opponent:

For single matches, you'll just have to learn through practise. But through team matches, I'd advise you to pick defensive characters on your team that use close range techniques which give you time to escape an opponent. The easiest option would be to pick two of these characters as team mates: Pain/Nagato, Neji, Hinata, Kimimaro, Deidara, Orochimaru, Rock Lee etc. I find Rock Lee and either Neji, Pain or Hinata best. Use them when your opponent starts hitting you with a combo attack, and practise ninja dashing back to get away from them. Also, put at least one of your teammates on GUARD formation.

When fighting an opponent who uses ninjutsu / ranged attacks:

You'd want to get good at dodging their attacks. Use the ninja move technique by pressing jump twice and holding it the second time to move fast. Also, while you are jumping normally, throw lots of shuriken so your opponent can't use their ninjutsu often as it disrupts them and then they lose chakra. Always watch their chakra when facing a ninjutsu type opponent. The safest time to attack them would be when their chakra is low and when you have your support ready to help if they rush up to you. For teammates, pick mid-range to long-range attack characters such as Itachi, Tsunade, Sakura, Ino, Sasuke, Killer B etc. Again, if you like using ninjutsu, have one support guard and the other balance so they can throw shuriken with you.

General fighting tips:

- Watch your substitution bar (the 4 bars under the chakra bar). If you just have ONE of the 4 bars left, DO NOT substitute. Even if your enemy gets you with a combo, just let them hit (unless you are going to die, otherwise don't substitute). This is because when you use up all of your substitutes, it takes long to charge up again whereas if you have one left it charges must faster. Watch the substitution bar at all times and avoid substituting while it charges up because when it begins charging, it is very quick to become full again.

- Do not charge chakra when you have no substitutes left because that is the time when you are most vulnerable. Try to get away when the substitution bar is empty, otherwise block.

- When attacking with a taijutsu combo, you can 'ninja dash' (chakra charge button + jump button) towards an opponent. When you sense they are going to substitute, then hit those two buttons (this uses chakra) to cancel your combo and dash towards them, catching them off guard, and repeat comboing them again. Keep repeating 'til they are out of substitutes. This technique is the key to winning if you get the timing right.

- When fighting a pupper master or ranged combo character like Temari, Tenten or Deidara, DO NOT rely on ninjutsu. The way to defeat them is to get close.
hope this helps.
